All Saints’ Year 3 Egyptian Museum

The Year 3 children at All Saints’ School have been studying the Ancient Egyptians as their cross-curricular subject this term and have discovered all kinds of amazing and interesting facts that they wanted to share.

These included:

• How the Egyptians lived and what their homes were like

• What they ate • How the Ancient Egyptians wrote • The importance of the Nile • How they made paper • Mummification • Why Ancient Egyptians wore death masks • Ancient Egyptian jewellery • How the pyramids were built

• And much, much more... The children worked immensely hard so that they were able to finish all their research and designs in time for the grand opening of their wonderful museum to which parents, friends and other classes were invited.

The official opening took place on Wednesday 26th June and the museum was filled for the next 3 days with fascinated visitors who were able to ask all kinds of questions to the knowledgeable curators.

A brilliant experience – well done Year 3!
