HELPING FIRMS TAKE NX STEP
A relatively new Chamber member has already experienced success thanks to their Chamber contacts. Shortly after joining Northamptonshire Chamber Q Personnel, which is a quality provider of employment services, approached fellow Chamber member The NX Group to see if it could be of service to the firm. Q Personnel partner David
Pragnell visited the national warehousing, transport and logistics firm and helped it to fill a vacancy for a warehouse shift manager which had been open for several months. David said: “We were
delighted to help The NX Group find a new permanent member of staff. It’s great to have achieved success with a fellow Chamber member.” NX HR manager Rebecca
Bateman added: “Recruitment at The NX Group is a challenge. It’s not just about getting a bottom on a seat, it’s about finding talented people who have the personality, skills and knowledge to take NX to the next level. “David visited us to see
where and how we operate so he was aware of our culture, operation and role expectations. “He stepped up to the challenge and submitted a few candidates that he ensured met our brief. “We’re really pleased that
we have recently made an offer – which has been accepted – to a great candidate put forward by Q Personnel. “As a growing business it’s important for us to find that ‘needle in a hay stack’ and that’s what David did. It’s also important to work with local like-minded businesses. We’d like to thank David and his team.”

work hard to raise awareness of the dangers of choking within the sector and hope that this award can go somewhere to helping us achieve this.” Since its launch, the simple device has prevented
over a dozen choking deaths in care and nursing homes throughout the UK, and the company has set a target of saving 100 lives by 2022. Figures published last year by the Office for National

IT PROVIDER’S A ‘FRIENDLY’ SORT
A managed IT services company specialising in secure distributed networks and hosting has received a top accreditation. Retail Technology Services (RTS)
has become a Friendly WiFi provider which means it has been approved by the government- initiated safe certification standard for public WiFi. This means clients using RTS’
services can tell their customers that their WiFi blocks access to pornography, images and videos of child abuse and web pages known to host indecent images of children at their venue. RTS sales and marketing manager Giles Forrester said: “Friendly WiFi looks at the technology you use as a business and whether you are able to provide a safe environment for WiFi users, particularly in areas where children are present. “We do a lot of work in the hospitality industry and provide secure networks for over 800 pubs and restaurants. This accreditation tells our customers that people on their sites will not be seeing items relating to terrorism, pornography and child abuse online. “We have put in a lot of work
into making sure our systems are secure and it is great to have our hard work recognised.”
