BUSINESS REPORT
TRAINERS PUT DELEGATES ON COURSE FOR SUCCESS
A team of professional trainers has developed more than 42,600 delegates since their business launched 25 years ago. The Development Company was
started by qualified and experienced trainer Adrian Green in 1994, and the following year he was joined by facilitator and coach, Kay Buckby. Since then, the Earls Barton-
based business, which provides an extensive range of courses for Northamptonshire Chamber, has extended into the elearning market. Louise Plant joined as an apprentice in 2011 and is now elearning author. The team will celebrate
‘A QUARTER
OF A CENTURY IS QUITE A LANDMARK, ESPECIALLY IN THE TRAINING INDUSTRY’
their 25th anniversary with a series of events, visiting clients past and present to thank them. Kay said: “A quarter of a century
is quite a landmark, especially in the training industry, where VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex & Ambiguous) is the norm. We attend conferences across the world to
ensure we can respond to
learning changes. Pioneering is one of our core values, and our clients benefit from
this. There will be several
exciting developments during 2019. We have released our own Learning Management System, ideal for cost- effective hosting of content and online learning. “We will also release the Level 5 ITOL Certificate in Coaching in June,
which follows last year’s release of the Level 5 ITOL Certificate in Training and Development.” Also new for 2019 is that Kay has
qualified to facilitate the eight-week ‘Mindfulness for Life’ programme. Kay added: “Feedback from the
first course was fantastic, so contact me if the programme – run over two to two-and-a-half hours per week, would help your staff’s wellbeing.”
