The recently united Whittlebury Hall & Spa and Whittlebury Park businesses will operate under the master brand of Whittlebury Park. The new brand will reinforce Whittlebury’s

amount of investment in Whittlebury’s facilities which included updating kitchen equipment and rooms as well as £500,000 invested in The Leisure Club which now boasts the latest state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Looking forward there are more

exciting projects and developments taking place within the Hall as well as in the wider estate. Commercial director Marc Webster said: “Whittlebury Park is a one of a kind destination. We thrive on the promise of excellence and variety and our willingness to provide this strengthens our capabilities, offering a truly authentic and memorable experience for all. “Our originality stems from

the ability to offer a diverse selection of excellent services. Our sense of community and hospitality unites us in our mission to offer the best possible care and attention to our guests.”

Construction is underway on its luxury

apartment developments, and the business continues to deliver on its commitment to invest in and evolve its current product offering, to ensure that it remains on target to reach its business goals as well as being welcoming to all.

INSURANCE FIRM IS ON THE UP

A firm that specialises in personal and business insurance has had its best year ever. Pendragon Protect has seen its business significantly increase and overheads reduced due to a restructure in the past 12 months. The firm, which is led by award-winning

director Adam Kaplan, has also undergone an exciting rebrand. Adam said: “We’ve had a phenomenal 12 months. Our business is growing because we are recognised for our honesty and integrity, we regularly under promise and over deliver and our clients can rely upon us to do everything we say we will. “One of the things that sets us apart is that we

ensure our insurances go into a trust. Ninety-four per cent of people in the UK who have life

insurance don’t have it in a trust which is there to avoid inheritance liability and delays in probate. “I’m very proud to have received awards from

my peers, who have recognised me as one of the most knowledgeable experts in our field, and I’m also thrilled to say we have worked with five of the UK’s top insurers to help them build their income protection products and we have recently been approached by another. “I’d like to say a huge thank you to my PA Jade

Evans who has been instrumental in our success. I’m delighted to say Jade is training to become our next advisor and when she qualifies we will be appointing new PAs to support us both.”

reported an increase in their workforce in the first quarter of 2019 and nearly a third of firms predicted they will increase their workforce further in the coming months. However, the companies – which

represent more than 100,000 employees across the county – recorded a downturn in terms of domestic sales, domestic orders and overseas sales, business confidence reduced and business investment dropped by 16%. Nearly a third of respondents also expect

the price of their goods and services to rise in the coming months and nearly half of those who attempted to recruit during the last quarter said they had difficulties attracting the right people. Northamptonshire Chamber chief

executive Paul Griffiths said: “Given the national context, these results do not cause too much alarm. “Northamptonshire’s business community

will remain resilient during 2019 and Northamptonshire Chamber will continue to feed these findings into the development of local, regional and national economic strategies to ensure that our business community’s views and priorities have an influence. “However, figures contained within this

report should act as a wake-up call for the Government, who need to recognise that all businesses, but particularly small and medium-sized firms, need support and encouragement in these exceedingly turbulent times.”
