MEMBERS TEAM UP TO DELIVER TOP SERVICE
AJS Express Parcels Limited has teamed up with a fellow Chamber member to offer a high-quality service to bereaved families. The delivery firm was launched
last year by Tony Spooner and has already picked up several clients needing everything from the services of a standard courier right through to a critical next day express delivery or emergency same day delivery. The firm’s desire to provide a
cost-effective, reliable and eco- friendly service brought them to the attention of fellow Chamber member Nene Legal which offers will writing, lasting power of attorney, prepaid funeral plans and estate planning services. The two businesses are now
working together to ensure bereaved families can receive the documents they need from Nene Legal at a time that suits them. Nene Legal director Simon Bonanno said: “We keep wills securely for clients. When someone passes away their relatives often

BEING RESPONSIBLE IS GOOD BUSINESS
According to ‘Double the Donation Research’ 55% of consumers are willing to pay more for products from socially responsible companies, as consumers feel good purchasing from companies that help the community. This in turn improves public image and sales. When companies
show that they are dedicated to improving their communities through projects such as Employer Supported Volunteering, they are more likely to attract and retain valuable, hardworking employees. Voluntary Impact Northamptonshire (VIN) is delighted to introduce
ESV Northants. A new service that offers companies a range of support to enable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV), within the Northamptonshire community. Through its countywide network, companies can benefit from increased opportunities to engage with voluntary and community groups, allowing people from different sectors to come together to make a positive impact on the local community. Communications and event coordinator Rebekah Broady said: “A
successfully managed ESV programme can be a fulfilling experience for everyone – employees, employers and the community and voluntary sector groups. Employees can gain new skills and experiences, which can often be applicable to their role in the business they work for.”
