Horse Camp for Kids Ages 8-14

Join in the fun at Dunham Woods Farm with our Summer Horse Camp! Dunham Woods Farm is a superior equestrian facility dedicated to providing the best instruction available for over 50 years. Our teachings are based on tradition and looking to the future. Campers will learn all about the proper ways to groom, tack and handle horses. In the saddle, learn the basics of riding at the walk and trot speeds. Campers will learn tons of cool information about breeds, colors, markings of horses and more. Games and other activities will be included as well. Come on out and meet some new friends and hang out with some horses. Riders should wear jeans or Jodhpur pants and hard soled riding or hiking boots with a small, low heel. Bring an approved riding helmet or bicycle helmet and a sack lunch! Juice boxes or bottled water will be provided.

The Thrills and Chills of Ice Cream RS Ages 5-13


Today is National Ice Cream Day! Celebrate by making and eating ice cream! What a fun way to introduce early physics and chemistry. Become an expert on this beloved treat as we make a batch of homemade ice cream. Also, explore the science of the amusement park treat, Dippin’ Dots. Then sit down for the most outrageous ice cream eating contest in town. Did anyone say BRAIN FREEZE? This is a child’s dream class and all about putting the fun back into learning. This class explores both Chemical and Industrial Engineering concepts, along with how this treat evolved. Don’t wear your Sunday best to this event, we will get sticky! Lots of tastings and a themed souvenir included.

Root Beer Rocks! Ages 5-13

Brewing homemade root beer is a ridiculously fun and tasty way to introduce early chemistry teachings to children! Kids can become a history and science expert on this beloved bubbly drink as we produce a batch of root beer. Next, the class will cast their vote for BEST ROOT BEER IN TOWN as they taste test a flight of 5 different unidentified sumptuous foamy brands. Finally, kids will complete their experience by preparing their own customized “black cow” (root beer float)! This is a child’s dream class and all about putting the fun back into learning. Souvenirs included. National Root Beer Float Day is just around the corner on August 6th!
