Help us celebrate the changing of seasons by joining us for a one-mile round trip hike through the woods as we enjoy the sounds of the evening as our nocturnal animals come out to play! Then sit around the campfire and roast a marshmallow or two as we listen to some stories about the night sky. Children must be accompanied by an adult; all participants must be registered.

Gather around the campfire and listen to some legends and lore as you enjoy roasting your own marshmallows. All participants must be registered.
Come and meet a local celebrity, Gilbert the Opossum, a social media star with over 70,000 followers! Our special meet and greet will allow registered participants to receive a special moment and a souvenir photo with him. Following this time, our opossum party will start at 7pm with a presentation about opossums followed by Gilbert’s story as told by his rescuer and what you can do to help animals like Gilbert. All children must be accompanied by a registered adult. Registering for the personal meet and greet includes the presentation as well.

Family Night Hike All Ages

Join us for an evening stroll as we watch the sunset switch. Enjoy a mile-long, round trip hike in the forest as we search for owls, bats, and insects and then settle around the campfire for a special treat. All participants must be registered, and adults must accompany their children.

All Ages
Join us for a cleanup day as we focus on removing trash along the Fox River and our wetlands. All cleanup tools will be provided, along with light refreshments. Registration is required, but is free. Adults must accompany children.
