The Batavia Youth Football (BYF) program is for 1st through 8th graders who are interested in learning and playing football in a supportive community system that creates a competitive and fun atmosphere. BYF serves as the designated feeder to the Batavia High School football program. BYF Flag/Touch Football Grades 1-6 - The foundation of Batavia Youth Football (BYF) is built on teaching kids the fundamentals of football, good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and teamwork in a fun, rewarding environment. BYF Tackle Football Grades 7-8 - BYF Tackle Football focuses on teaching kids the fundamentals of tackle football and teamwork to prepare them to compete at the high school level. This program is aligned to the Batavia High School football program’s schemes, terminology, and structure. Participants in this program will enter high school football well- prepared to contribute to the overall program. This program is supported by Rotolo Middle School. Equipment pick-up is May 29. Late fee of $40 if registering after April 26.

You will play against other local in-house teams. Each team will play 7 – 9 games starting in late August and finishing with a tournament in mid-October. Please provide a jersey size at registration. The age cutoff for this level is determined on where the participant’s birth date falls based on December 31, 2018. Anyone interested must register by July 24. If you have an issue when registering online due to an age conflict, please contact the office.

Teams will consist of 8 players. All teams will practice for a half an hour and play their game immediately after. A t-shirt will be provided for each girl. The league will use a tee similar to a traditional tee-ball league. All girls must bring their own glove and any kind of shoe may be worn.
