Lockyer's Middle School

This month at Lockyer’s Middle School, we have once again been celebrating our pupils’ sporting achievements.

Many congratulations go to our

Under 13s Girls’ 7-a-side football team, who became East Dorset Champions and will go through to the County Finals!

GCSE Candidates? FREE iBooks!

Local residents may remember Joyce Hull for teaching maths at Parkstone Grammar School from 1972-1984.

Joyce has published free books covering most of the maths GCSE syllabus on Apple iBooks.

They can be downloaded from the iBooks store by searching for ‘Maths in Pictures’ or ‘Joyce Hull’. They can also be accessed via www.maths-in-pictures.com

Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 pupils (pictured above) had a fun afternoon at the Hi 5 Netball Festival. It was amazing to see two of our Year 8 Sports Leaders coaching and umpiring the younger children.

To promote Safer Internet Day 2019 our Digital Leaders produced an animation to show the rest of the school in assembly. The script was developed by Ben Franklin, Sophie Aiken, Dylan Young and Jessica Singleton and highlighted how digital technology can be used in a safe and positive way.

For the latest news, events and information about the school, please visit our website: www.lockyersmid.dorset.sch.uk or why not follow us on Twitter: @Lockyers_Middle
