Heligan Soup Month
If you head to T e Lost Gardens of Heligan this month, you’ll fi nd that it’s offi cially ‘Heligan Soup Month’. With seasonal produce, such as leeks and winter greens arriving daily, the team at Heligan restaurant are dedicated to creating at least 3 diff erent homemade soups every day. Whilst winter still has us in its icy grip, a big hot bowl of homemade soup is the perfect remedy to chase away the chills. Heligan’s soups are available daily throughout January between 12pm and 2.30pm; vegan, vegetarian and meat/fi sh options are all available and each bowl is served with a freshly baked roll or a cheese scone from the Heligan Bakery.
I’m Drinking... Hot Stuff !
Do you like a side of spice with your food? If the answer is yes, you’ll want to try Guanchita Chilli Mojo Sauce: T e West Country’s hottest new condiment. T e sauce was originally made by owner Jennie’s great grandmother in the 1880's. She lived in the Canaries, in a cave high in the mountains, where this rustic and unique sauce was fi rst developed. T e cave was formally inhabited by the Guanches - aboriginal people that spoke Berber – and the recipe has been handed down through generations. Now, the sauces are made from locally sourced chilies in a variety of strengths. To fi nd out more, visit

Purrfect Ceramics
I adore ceramicist Hannah Turner's new range of witty animal tableware. Her 'Cat Life' collection features 3 quirky moggies sitting among fronds of monstera, palm and fi ddle fi g. T e hand-drawn designs include simple shapes and black detailing that lend the whole collection a stylish mid-century feel; an aesthetic which is complimented by the classic tones of mint, orange and sage.
