Meet our New Staff


M


iss Matthews trained


at Trinity Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London graduating with a BA Hons Degree in Musical Theatre.


She made her professional acting debut at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August 2011, and spent two more years performing in Pantomimes, TV Dramas and commercials.


Alongside teaching for the past eight years, she has worked as a Theatre Director, and continues to be a member of Dartford Amateur Operatic Dramatic Society being part of a musical every six months.

iss Gbokoua (Miss G) has been working in the


education system both private, and mainstream sector for the past seven years.


She has also worked as a sports leader, providing weekly sports activities for children with Special Educational Needs. This has led her to work in the SEND Department where she works with a range of different children every day which she finds very rewarding.


She is also fluent in French. M


iss Watson studied Mathematics


at the University of Glasgow. Her favourite topics were Continuum Mechanics and Mathematical Biology. She loves being a teacher because it allows her to share her passion for maths with her pupils.


In her free time she enjoys scuba diving, cycling and going for walks with her family back up North. She has really enjoyed becoming part of the team at AGFS, and cannot wait to see what the rest of the year brings.

Sociology at Goldsmiths University in New Cross.


She is mostly based in English and History lessons at the school as she plans to teach English in the future. Her favourite thing about AGFS is the ethos it maintains and the commitment to learning shown by the students.

iss Cave studied History BA Hons at King’s College


London and has really enjoyed her first term at AGFS.


In her free time she loves going


to the theatre and directing plays. She also enjoys reading for pleasure. She has really enjoyed her first term at AGFS.


iss Haynes started as a Learning Support

r Watson studied French Language


and Literature at the University of St Andrews, during which he spent a year in a state secondary school in France teaching English as a foreign language.


After graduating, he joined Price Waterhouse in London where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He then worked for over 30 years as an investment banker. Mr Watson returns to teaching, this time specialising in French; he is really enjoyed teaching the students at AGFS.

After graduating she joined the media company BackDoor Productions where she was a runner for coming to up to a year. She then migrated to Florida for four years where she worked at the company Bricks 4 Kidz. Miss Simms thoroughly enjoys working with pupils at AGFS.

iss Barratt has been teaching


Mathematics for five years.


She joins us from St Thomas Moore as second in charge of Maths and KS4 coordinator. She has been impressed with the display of true grit and perseverance from students at AGFS and is looking forward to seeing the students progress even further over the year in Mathematics.
