Village green It was agreed to put a notice on the board referring to the bye- laws, which are available on the website. Residents could receive a copy of the bye-laws by email, if requested. It was agreed that a No Parking sign could be put up on the green. Awards It was agreed that the parish council would enter the KALC CommunityAwards Scheme and invite nominations fromthe village. The parish council would also run its own awards scheme. Blooms success Cllrs Frankling and Williams a�ended the South and South East in Bloomawards ceremony and received a silver gilt award, being just three points away froma gold award. The award reflected CllrWilliams’ efforts as well as participation by the whole parish. GDPR Councillors had seen the clerk’s notes fromthe recent KALC Clerks conference. She had contacted a company about arrangingmembers’ email addresses and would report back about this. Parish land The Quintain stone had been cleaned and
painted.Members would meet CllrWilliams on site to inspect the posts fromthe car park. CllrMarchant had strimmed and weeded theAldon Lane gateway and had tried to keep the plants at the Spadework gateway alive. She had cut the ivy in the pound so it would not damage the wall. Play area The annual inspection said variousma�ers needed a�ention and others were pointed out but just needed monitoring. The area was swept regularly but needed to be sprayed to get rid ofmoss underneath the equipment.

The parish council would runmore training sessions. Village hall The barn dance had been a success andmade a profit ofmore than £500. Highways There had been complaints about cars parked on the pavement. The police had indicated that it was not illegal to park on the pavement as long as there were only two wheels on it. If parking was inconsiderate, notes could be put on the vehicle asking the driver to bemore considerate. Trees CllrMarchantmet Liz Guthrie fromTMBC about the trees in the play area car

Cllrs Frankling and Slate would try to repair them. Cllr Frankling had bought replacement lights. Methodist Church Councillors had seen a le�er explaining that services were to be reduced, leading to the closure of the church next year.

Crossroads The chairman said ameeting had been arranged with KCC regarding the proposed changes to the crossroads. Cllr Balfour said that once the plans had been finalised by KCC, there would have to be a publicmeeting. Somemembers of the public voiced concerns about extra lanes, saying it would increase pollution. Speeding There were some complaints about speeding in the village, and traffic calming and speed cameras were
suggested. CCTV Cllr Stones reported that some of the CCTV cameras at the village hall did not work properly. The CCTV screen in the pavilion had no pictures at all. Cllr Marks proposed that Chroma Vision inspect the equipment. The clerk was to contact the company. Village warden Themeeting heard that dog fouling at the playing fields had increased since there was no village warden. It was felt that the recent incidents of drug dealing could not be linked to the lack of warden. It was agreed to circulate to allmembers the village warden job description for comments. Waste bin Tonbridge andMalling Borough Council had been asked to supply a bin for the village pond area. Trees removed The removal of the two sycamore trees at DrayhorseMeadow was discussed. One of the tenant’s livery owners had removed the smaller of the two trees and the tenant had obtained a price of £200 to remove the large tree. It was agreed that the council would pay for the removal of the large tree. This would be a one-off payment as the tree was poisonous to horses. Playing fieldsAmeeting had been held with JamesWoolley to discuss work at the playing fields. This would be to lift the canopies of all the trees along the fence line and the trees along the back of the houses. James would submit a quote. New pavilion Cllr Stones referred to the possibility of a new pavilion and would a�end anymeeting and would report back. Cllr Stones also commented on how good the playing fields were looking. Allotments Repairs to the gate and water tap cover had been completed. Survey Sarah Hudson referred to a survey she had carried out on local issues. Speeding was the issuemost commented on. Regarding the proposed changes to the crossroads, suggestions included interactive speed signs, 30mph signs painted on roads, traffic calming and a reduction in the speed limit along theA26 PizienWell Road to Canon Lane.
