THe Halesworth Campus Trustees are happy to report that more than 50 young people attended the free activity days organised by GoGeronimo and the Apollo youth Club at the Campus playing field in August. They were funded by the east Suffolk Communities Team, Halesworth Town Council and Sentinel Leisure Trust. In addition to football, rugby, tennis and cricket, people were able to have a go at more unusual sports such as power kites, soft archery, handball and dodgeball. It was a great success and we hope to do this again next summer. Please note that the Apollo youth Club will remain on the Campus site until at least october 2019. The outdoor tennis courts


close to the youth club building on the Campus are available for the youth club members to use on club evenings, and a number of other people have contacted us to book slots at other times. Do contact us through bookings@halesworthcampus.


org if you are interested in using them while the good weather lasts! Southwold Rugby Club continues to use the playing field for training each week, which is great to see. From Thursday 27th September Coastal Leisure Learning will be running a beginners’ Italian Class in the Skills Centre from 7pm – 9pm. is happening, there is a lot going on behind the scenes. The Trustees are working hard with our partners to move the plans forward, although this is taking longer than we had hoped. we will tell you more about this next month. AFTeR the long Summer break, we have had two Brownie meetings, so not a lot to report for now but look out for our news as the term progresses. In the first week we spruced up our Six boards and then the Toadstool! we begin an exciting era in Guiding as we explore a new programme for the girls. The leaders are all going on a course soon to find out more! we have welcomed Flo,


Grace and Poppy and hope that they have lots of fun with us. It is good to have neve back after her recent time off while studying for exams at school. we still have a few Brownie places so if you know anyone who would like to join then visit the Girlguiding website to enrol or phone 01986 872913.
