In February 1993 my Grandfather Mr. Henri Russell Gartley passed away. I was lucky enough to be made one of the beneficiaries of his estate. At the time I was managing a Shoe Repair and Key Cutting business in Lowestoft and had no real prospects of progressing further there. So, after careful thought I decided that this was probably my one and only chance to start on my own and began the search for machinery and all that was needed to start the business. on october 13th 1993,


I opened for business at 6 Chediston Street in Halesworth as H.R.G. Shoe Repairs. Initially I only offered a shoe repair service and stocked a small range of shoe care items. Business was soon booming


and after 18 months I took on my first member of staff. Sadie has worked for me ever since. As the months and years progressed I was able to invest in newer machinery as well as expanding into Key Cutting and retailing leather goods and bags. In

shoe repair service, using only the best quality materials available. Tackling anything form a standard pair of heels, stitching and patching repairs, through to a complete re-welt and stitched on leather through sole.


Many people even today still


think it’s not possible to repair shoes with “molded units”, this however is not the case. As the style of manufacture and materials have changed so too have our methods of repair. There are very few shoes which can not be repaired. where possible we can also


make repairs to a wide range of leather items including bags and belts. you can always call in with your item for us to take a look. Also available is a wide

From the most basic pet ID tag through to photos engraved onto a metal surface. with the appropriate artwork we can reproduce logos and engrave in hundreds of different fonts. we can even engrave a personalized message in your own handwriting onto certain items. we offer a truly massive
