NEW WEBSITE DOUBLES SALES


A company that provides fire safety products and services has doubled its overseas business since the launch of its new website. Northampton-based Marsden Fire


Safety Ltd was purchased by its current owners in 2015. After a successful application for funding through the European Regional Development Fund in 2016, Marsden was able to rebrand, rewrite and redesign their website. Marketing manager Michelle Williams said: “We


believe that our recent growth can be accredited to the re-launch of our website, which prior to its re-vamp was hard to navigate and looked like it was stuck in the 90s.


“Since its launch we have seen a huge increase in sales and enquiries across much of our range but


especially with our own manufactured Fire Training Simulators – designed for use during practical fire extinguisher training, which are fast becoming one of our best sellers! “This year we have done business in new countries around the world including Italy, Malta, Austria, Gambia, South Korea,


Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Our current exports equate to 15% of our total business so far this year,


compared to seven per cent for the whole


of 2017, with further business in the pipeline. “If I could give just one piece of advice to other


companies looking to expand, it would be to firstly look at your website and how it represents your company. This is where many potential customers get their first impression of you and first impressions count.”
