BUSINESS REPORT APPROVAL FOR SILVERSTONE

A firm has endorsed a fellow Chamber member after working with them for several years. Silverstone Fleet Management has managed

Technical Foam Services’s fleet of cars for about six years and has so impressed the foam manufacturer and converter that its managing director took part in a film shoot to show his appreciation. Technical Foam Services managing director Duncan Geddes said: “They provide fantastic support and excellent advice when we’re choosing a new car. We’re quite demanding when we’re looking for a new vehicle because we always have a specification and a price in mind but they always come up trumps.

more vehicles it’s so easy to contact them about what we need. They make the whole process easy and enjoyable.” Silverstone Fleet Management managing

“We also really like the ‘track

my car’ software that they use because from the moment we order a vehicle it tells us how it’s getting along

and when we’re going to receive it.

SUPPORT IS NEEDED FOR GREEN PROJECT

Groundwork Northamptonshire is encouraging businesses to support an environmental project which is visited by more than 100 adults and children every week. Over the past decade the

charity has transformed a former 2.5 acre allotment site in Kettering into a thriving hub which supports a variety of projects, including clubs for mainstream and disabled children and those from families on low incomes, young people and adult employment programmes, alternative education and supported adult volunteering. Known as The Green Patch, the

site features a community garden, a community hub with conferencing, meeting and community rooms, large polytunnels, raised beds, a children’s play area, a garden for bees and butterflies, bee hives, a herb garden and a communal area with a barbecue. The site is also home to rabbits,

cats, ducks and chickens and will soon include a well-being garden

which is being created by a group of supported adults from Wellingborough. The Green Patch manager Sue

McKay said: “We’re very proud of the site, which has recently been awarded the Green Flag Award which recognises well managed parks and green spaces. “We work with many businesses

and are always keen to attract companies that are interested in corporate volunteering with us or sponsorship opportunities. “We’ve just refurbished our

chicken area and we’ve recovered two of our polytunnels at a cost of £2,000 each and have another two to do – we’re always looking for funding.” The site runs a variety of events,

is part of the National Garden Scheme and is available for hire.

LATEST TECHNOLOGY IS RAISING A SMILE

A business which is part of a major photo booth company has released its new packages for December. Smiley Booth Northamptonshire is run by Gabriela Sica-Neill and offers

bespoke packages for a range of occasions from weddings to corporate events. The firm provides clients with the latest in photo booth technology, including green screen, as well as a range of carefully crafted props for guests to use. Gabriela said: “We put a lot of effort into creating bespoke packages for

our clients and even make our own props to help us stand out from the crowd and be able to offer a personalised service. “We meet with our clients in advance to find out how we can make our

service special for them. For corporate clients this could include producing something that is specific to their company. “We also help clients to think about the planning of their event so that our service doesn’t clash with other entertainers they may have booked.”

director Scott Norville added: “We’ve managed their fleet for several years and make sure their mileages are okay on a monthly basis and that the vehicles are looked after. We also highlight when they are due for replacement. “We were delighted to receive a call from

Duncan asking to do a video testimonial for us. Our customer reviews are everything to us because they measure the hard work that we do.”
