Bound for Borneo

On Saturday 30 June our World Challenge team left school at 6.15am to set out off on their expedition to Borneo. The trip of a lifetime will see students looking after orangutans, volunteering in the local community and trekking up Mount Kinabalu. They are pictured above on the eve of their departure following a final kit check. Details of their adventures will be featured in the School’s annual

magazine ‘The Sibfordian’ due out at the begining of next term. • Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, as the newsletter went to press we received this picture of team Sibford at the summit of Mount Kinabalu after a gruelling climb.

Charlotte and Amelia take to the skies

Sixth Form students, Charlotte and Amelia have impressed us all with their ‘living adventurously’, writes Head of Sixth Form Cate Mallalieu- Needle.

On Friday 22 June they

skydived from 13,000 feet to raise sponsorship for their World Challenge trip to Borneo. Both students were terrified

beforehand but have described the experience as being ‘the best thing ever’ and would recommend everyone to do it. We are very proud of these

students and further sponsorship can be given on their ‘just giving’ crowdfunding page: www. justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ ameliacharlotte-whalleykirk
