The pesticide, bleach and chemical dye free products are creat- ed using durable, comfortable and natural materials ensuring a clean sleep. Dedicated to responsible manufacturing practices, the brand secured GOTS certifications for its warehouse, woodshop and sewing facilities. In addition to obtaining certifications indi- cating that its products are organic, Savvy Rest earned the unique classification of cer- tified Benefit Corporation. This designation communicates that the brand prioritizes the community, its employees and the environ- ment. Savvy Rest is one of a handful of busi- nesses to be both a B Corp and an ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan) company, granting employees partial ownership.

6 The Futon Shop

Using certified organic components, TFSleep and The Futon Shop have been manufac- turing natural products in California for over 40 years. After her search for a bed void of petro-chemicals and flame retardants proved unsuccessful, owner Suzanne Diamond made her first mattress in 1976. Realizing she had created a solution others might need, Dia- mond displayed a simple sign at EREWON health food store in Los Angeles that read, “Want a natural bed, no petro chemicals,

no fire retardants? Call Suzie.” Today, the mission-driven brand ensures a high-lev- el of quality control by processing every vat of organic wool and cotton before use and maintains trans-national certifications for the materials used both inside and on top of its mattresses and futons. Offering a full portfo- lio of chemical-free, natural furniture, futons, futon mattresses, mattresses, pillows and toppers, The Futon Shop is an ideal partner in cross merchandising.
