Purchased by Davidsons Chemist in 2001, the chain’s Forfar branch has grown steadily over the years.
Pharmacist Lauren Clarke started working in the branch Pharmacy Manager in late 2012 following the retirement of the previous pharmacist, and many of the current staff have a similar - if not longer - term of service. Since staff turnover is low, this pharmacy has deep roots in caring for the people of Forfar.
Working within the pharmacy is Erica, accuracy checking technician

(ACT) and dispensary manager; ACT Judith, who spends most of her time in branch checking community monitored dosage (cMDS) trays and supporting other staff where necessary; Mandy, who manages the ordering and dispensing of the cMDS; Lynn, Ann and Jan, who rotate around the dispensary and healthcare counter; Stephen, the driver, who delivers medication to housebound patients in and around the local area and students, Katie and Anna.
Over the years, the team has
worked hard to develop its strengths to support each other using its varied skill set to accomplish any task put before them. All staff have either completed the pharmacy assistant and pharmacy technician training courses or are very near to doing so, enabling Lauren to delegate and fully utilise the whole team to their best potential. This further enhances effi ciency across the branch and allows her to put her time and knowledge into helping support its patients and local GP surgeries.
