Events Worthy PHL Diversity’s 12th Annual Business Opportunity Luncheon


February 14, 2018 – Philadelphia, PA - Local business leaders along with association representatives from future Philadelphia meetings and conventions gathered at The Rittenhouse Hotel for this yearly opportunity.


PHL Diversity, a business development division of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, works to raise Philadelphia's profile as an ethnically diverse convention destination and creates opportunities like this annual luncheon for local diverse businesses to connect with, and benefit from, the many meetings and conventions that the PHLCVB secures for Philadelphia.


A panel discussion among three upcoming meetings was moderated by Nydia Han of 6abc and provided attendees with insight on how to approach contracting, exhibiting and the RFP process. The panel included Kevin J. Johnson, Meeting Planner for Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Jonathan D. Lovitz, Senior Vice President of the National Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, and Kenny Roberts, Director of Corporate Affairs for the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Party for the Market


February 24, 2018 – Philadelphia, PA - The 8th Annual Party for the Market was just that… plus a celebration of the 125th birthday of Reading Terminal Market! Complete with décor, entertainment and characters helping with the theme by turning the pages back over a 100 years, 1,500 guests strolled the merchant’s aisles and experienced the Market’s savory dining spots during this annual gala.


The Market plays a central role for locals and visiting shoppers, and over the coming year they will celebrate the past with anniversary festivities.
