Another long-standing business in Rotherham, Clarksons began in 1867 by Irving Clarkson, a monumental stonemason who set up shop in Effingham Street. After many years, they moved to

Broom Valley Road in the 70s at a similar time to Bartholomew and Sons, with the pair often working together.
Carved from time-honoured sensitivity and a trustworthy name, Clarksons can create a lasting memory for your loved one with marble, stone or granite headstones in a range of shapes and designs from books to hearts. They also provide cremation plaques and memorials, with most services carried out by their on-site stonemason.
Each design can be engraved with your personal message with a variety of lettering designs and finishes from gilded to painted or leaded. With a great reputation, Clarksons also clean and restore existing memorials, along with providing insurance against theft, damage and nature.
