corn Records band Cowboy in Macon, Geor- gia during the early seventies passed away peacefully in his sleep during the early hours of February 13, 2018. Scott had suffered vari- ous health issues for several years, but his death still came as a shock to family and friends, as well as his numerous fans. We had this issue of KUDZOO maga-


zine ready to go when we got the word late Tuesday afternoon of his passing, and de- cided to scrap our 2017 Tribute cover design and put our friend Scott on the cover. Also, as a tribute to Scott we are reprinting my inter- view with him from 2009 that is featured in my book Capricorn Rising: Conversations in Southern Rock (Mercer University Press). Rest easy, brother Boyer, we will never


forget you. Thank you for the great music, es- pecially my personal favorite, “Please Be With Me.”
