The busy Chamber Autumn Expo at Villa Park Chamber Expo A gathering of stars
Greater Birmingham’s largest business event and celebration of its star companies takes place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) on Thursday, 19 April 2018. The Greater Birmingham Chambers of
Commerce (GBCC) annual dinner and awards attracted a record of over 1,000 attendees at this year’s event – and the aim is to better that. Delegates at the 2017 event included leading
figures from the Greater Birmingham business world and national and local government and politics plus a full programme of entertainment. Paul Faulkner, chief executive of the GBCC, said:
“Demand is always huge for our annual dinner and awards, which have become the keynote business event of the year in our region. We expect among the attendees representatives from the heart of Birmingham plus our surrounding partners in Burton & District, Chase, Lichfield &Tamworth, Solihull and Sutton Coldfield as well as the wider Chamber network and beyond.
“Generally the event will maintain the sort of
features that led it to being such a great success this year along with some innovations. “It is undoubtedly an occasion not to be
missed and one of its great strengths is that we allow time for networking, which has proved one of the most popular features over the years.” Planning is now underway and announcements
of keynote speakers and entertainment will be made shortly (keep a check on the Chamber’s daily news bulletin, ChamberlinkDaily, which goes out to more than 16,000 businesses and individuals every morning). Nominations for the awards, open to members
and non-members, will also open shortly and the much-coveted Business of the Year will be chosen from winners in the individual categories.
