Service helps to support CSR
Digbeth-based Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) has come up with a new service to support small businesses as well as help them meet corporate social responsibility objectives. The service is being offered
via the organisation’s social enterprise BVSC Business Solutions, and is an extension of the back office function it provides to local charities. This includes a payroll
bureau, finance services, and HR consultancy and advice, and has allowed community groups to focus resources on their main activities, rather than administration needs. BVSC is now offering this
service to the wider business sector, so that SMEs and other private sector companies will have the option of outsourcing their support needs while meeting their own corporate social responsibility objectives. All profits are ploughed
back into resourcing BVSC’s charitable aims of providing support to local community groups and volunteers.
