“Cabinet upgrades are already in production for 2018,” revealed Hydropool’s Lloyd Burden. “We are offering an upmarket version with individual cabinet available as an upgrade. “We are also reinvesting into the Hydropool swim spa line,” he confirmed. “We will have the whole line redeveloped and redesigned by late November 2018 for launch in 2019/20. “Hydropool swim spa sales were close to 1,000 pieces across Europe,” he revealed. “With the Jacuzzi Swim Life being added next year, we envisage that doubling for 2018.
“We have doubled research and development capacity in Toronto and tripled manufacturing space,” says Lloyd. “R&D never finishes there are always things you can make better we have learned that to ‘nth degree.”
Although Hydropool opted for an all-white display at Aquanale, Lloyd recommends a colour mix in showrooms.
“Go into a Mercedes showroom and every car on display is grey,
but for us you have to have a mix,” he explains. “When it comes to favourite colour choice options, you could plot across European map with the statistics different right across the board from Ireland to Moscow.
Champion consumer show exponents, Lloyd revealed the first exhibition of the year, at the London Boat show sets the trend for the following year.
“Watching buying trends from the Boat Show, the first week of January, especially when presenting new colours, will help us decide on the quick ship programme going forward,” Lloyd says and adds: “You put choices in front of 20,000 people, you will see immediately which ones they prefer.”
