Well we dusted off the passports, with barely enough time to unpack the suitcases, as we set off on a frenzied schedule of autumnal events, taking in both trade shows and business seminar events. Read all about some impressive showcases, courtesy of Bosta and Pollet Pool Group, with extensive reports from both the Barcelona and Cologne pool and spa shows inside.
One of the positives about talking with so many colleagues and friends at these networking and social events, is the opportunity to pick up on industry trends. The consensus of feeling confirming it has been a very busy year for most companies who are struggling to cope with demand. On the flip side, many companies report being reluctant to take on additional overheads in the form of much-needed staff to meet that demand – even choosing to turn work away. With economic uncertainty on the horizon, it is not just Brexit that dominates, but also exit strategies for an ageing number of family-owned businesses, looking to secure their own comfortable exit strategies especially much- needed pension payments. Food for thought.
