“Design wise, the Vector is going to become more of a force in the UK,” Steve believes. “We have already seen a surge of sales, up by 51 per cent in Canada. They love the Vector and the UK consumers will too.”


BEST SELLERS


The best-selling Artesian spa colour for 2017 has been the silver marble finish. “White has not seen its day for us, but I do think people like more variety to choose from,” comments Artesian’s Vicky Wrigglesworth.


“The Metallix range from Lucite has proved popular so I would think they would add to this range for next year,” she continues. When it comes to a choice of showroom units, Vicky advices on variety as the key to success: “We find that the best approach is to have a variety of both shell and cabinet options on display to help the customer visualise their spa choice,” says Vicky. “It also makes the showroom look more appealing.


“Lighter colours, like silver marble and mineral white are best in wet test areas as they show off the LED lighting beautifully. They are also easier to maintain,” Vicky adds.


BUYING CHOICES


Unveiling a number of advances to its popular TidalFit range in Orlando this year, it is consumers who continue to influence design changes through their buying choices.


Vicky again: “Consumers still seem to enjoy the typical six seat including lounger type of spa. We have seen double lounger models growing in popularity also.


“Our new Platinum Elite Monarch style cabinets and Morbern covers have been a huge hit, so there may be further options to come in our other ranges in the future.


“Swim Spas are also becoming much more popular and many have specific requirements in this area.


“I think technology is such a staple option these days and everything seems to be Bluetooth, so I’m pretty sure it’s here to stay! “We were looking at a well-known smart pad brand only this weekend and you can buy so many Bluetooth driven add-ons for it, that I can only see it becoming more popular in many industries, including the hot tub industry.


Platinum represents 70 percent of Jacuzzi’s residential sales with midnight black a top choice. The top of the range J500 range offers unique design and a choice of cabinet finishes all backed up by five stage filtration systems, a double water fall with integrated lighting systems, adjustable seat, an intuitive control panel that can rotate 180 degree for control inside or outside the spa, open seating or lounger options and remote control.


On display at the recent Aquanale show, the J445 special edition is a new build to replace the J400 range offering a choice of finishes, new water blade waterfall, adjustable massage points.


SISTER ACT


Following the acquisition of Hydropool, both Jacuzzi and Sundance dealers will have access to a new Swim Life swim spa in ‘Fit’ and ‘Expert’ versions. A sample model was on display as a quick snapshot with additions and variations expected to be in production by the New Year.


Sister company, Hydropool, will also be re-investing in its own swim spa lines for 2018. On the hot tub side, the new 790 and 970 replaces dated 700 and 800 models. The 790 goes back to dual lounger, but slightly smaller, with upgraded cabinets, bigger foot well but retaining the two lounger option. The 9ft x 8ft, 970 offers a corner entry for first time and will be unveiled to dealers at a conference at new UK headquarters in Watlington, Oxfordshire, alongside several new products.
