Chamber in celebration at awards night

The Open Study College were the big winners at the inaugural Solihull Chamber of Commerce dinner and awards. The college claimed the overall Outstanding

Business of the Year prize, as well as the title of Outstanding Small Business, while chief operating officer Samantha Rutter was named as Outstanding Business Person of the Year. The college was founded 10 years ago, and

Samantha is credited as a person who has transformed distance learning. The Open Study College is based at Birmingham Business Park, as is sister business Wiggles & Giggles Day Nursery. The latter was established earlier this year as a childcare facility for those working at the business park and surrounding areas. The college has seen substantial growth

during the last five years, during which it has also seen a huge rise in student numbers. This growth has in turn led to the college almost doubling its workforce. Other winners of the awards categories were:

Midshire Business Systems (outstanding large business); Limitless Travel (outstanding start-up
