Dust Extractor 1230 M AFC @MirkaUK www.mirka.co.uk

I have been using Mirka dust free sanding since 2007, in fact one of my earliest reviews was published online in 2008. Using this machine saves so much time not having to clean all the mess and in our business time means money. It also improves both you and your client’s health because you’re not breathing in the airborne dust

generated by hand sanding. So the initial investment pays off incredibly quickly. Prep is one of the jobs I love now! My rule of thumb is, if you’re using electric sanders, they will work at their

optimum when connected to a dedicated dust extractor. The Mirka 1230 M class AFC wet and dry extractor is an impressive must have machine, jam packed with features.

A high performance 1200w one stage turbine produces 250mbar pressure and 4500l/min airflow. The Mclass machine has auto start - meaning once you turn your sander on, the dust extraction begins straight away and continues for a short while when turned off to allow the dust and

debris to be fully removed from the machine and hose. This reduces noise levels, plus increases the lifespan of the motor. A 30 litre container and fleece dust bag mean it can go quite some time before bag changes. You can choose automatic filter cleaning (AFC) - use it either on sander or vacuum mode, or not at all!

Features and Benefits Use as a vacuum or dust extraction Automatic filter cleaning Auto start and dust protected socket Cable and hose management Air flow monitor - LED & Audio Use in either wet or dry

Cyklone Paint Stirrer

@Cyklonempm www.cyklone.co.uk

This feature shakes the filter to help remove dust build up, yet another valuable time saver. What I really like though is the suction detection sensor, this has an LED indicator plus an audio signal

that advises when the airflow is below 20m/s. This helps prevent unwanted dust getting into the air, but it's important to select the diameter of hose you’re using so the machine is aware. A tough rubber 7.5m power lead plus cable management keeps this machine tidy and always ready

to use. Always use Mirka anti static hose (not supplied). The M class (medium) of dust extractor means OEL values > 0.1 MG/M3, which in ‘Painters Talk’

means better performance resulting in improved end user protection. All this comes with a 2+1 warranty (register online within 30 days of purchase).

Features and Benefits Unique design in 304 stainless steel Suitable for cordless or corded drills

Over the years I have used metal and plastic whisks and paddles in different shapes and sizes to mix paint. When it comes to mixing they all achieved the end goal but some were very messy and time consuming, especially when cleaning them. So, let me introduce the Cyklone - a mixing ‘Revolution’! Not only is Cyklone like no other whisk/mixing paddle I have ever seen, it's

Will mix paint, grout, filler , plaster, sand and cement

Reusable and easy to clean

perfect for painters, decorators, tilers; in fact any trade that need to mix products. Simply place Cyklone in a fully charged cordless drill chuck, and tighten well! Start off slow, then increase the speed to suit what

you’re mixing. The curved detail on the bottom raises it from the base of the paint can or mixing bucket, the two sets of three countersunk 6mm holes on the paddle actually help create a powerful mixing Cyklone force. A vortex is created sucking the mix to the sides and up through the middle. I always reverse spin the mix a few times too... always checking that it's tightly in the chuck. Be warned - the force of Cyklone is incredible so it's advisable to keep hold of the paint can or mixing tub/bucket! Cyclone is made of durable 304 stainless steel and is the easiest to clean mixing paddle I have used to date,

plus doubles as a paint tin opener on most brands. The secret to keeping this tool in prestige condition is to always make time to clean it straight after using it, have a bucket of water handy and spin Cyklone forward and reverse a few times Suitable for paints and stains, wallpaper paste (both sachet and ready mixed), filler, plaster, grout, even sand and cement in reasonable sized batches.
