Judges guidance and tips for entry
EVERY YEAR WE get entries that fail to get past the first hurdles because the entry form does not do justice to the project or is invalid because of the way it has been completed. To help members to present their projects in the best way the judges have produced detailed guidance notes that can be downloaded from the PDA website or by contacting head office. Here are some of the key messages:
1 2
Complete every section of the form and priortise the inclusion of photographs.
For a project to be eligible it must have been completed in the stated year. For Premier Trophy Awards 2018 - this will be 1 January 2017 to December 2017.
3
A job needs to have a client endorsement as part of the judging criteria requires discussions with the client about the work.
5 4
Each application MUST be accompanied by a minimum of four and maximum of ten different colour images of the completed project showing a typical section of the work and the work as a whole. We prefer the images to be submitted on a memory stick or disc sent with the Entry Form. See our guidance notes opposite on taking the best photographs of you work.
Entry Forms need to be returned to the PDA by 12 January 2018 to be eligible, as the timescale for site visits and selecting winners runs to a very tight schedule from this date.
6
Your summary of the project (maximum 300 words) is your chance to tell us about the project. The essential details and any obstacles you had to overcome to complete the work, including health and safety issues. What products and materials you used for the project.
Award winners will be announced during a prestigious luncheon
held at Plaisterers’ Hall, London on 5 July 2018!
