European Investment Casters' Federation Issues Call for Papers: 29th International Conference, April 22-25, 2018 in Porto, Portugal

specific topics of interest, the traditional Turbocharger Seminar and a Foundry Industry Visit, together with an Exhibition showing the latest developments in Foundry technology, will provide the ideal networking opportunity for delegates, suppliers and end-users. The latest trends and innovations in the technological evolution and supply capabilities associated to the Investment Casting Industry will be revealed.
Workshop Organizers Porto 2018, International Conference and Exhibition is organized by the European Investment Casters’ Federation (EICF) in cooperation with the Portuguese Foundry Association (APF). EICF is the leading trade association for Investment Casting in Europe. Author Abstract Deadline Please note: Abstracts submitted after 30 of October 2017 will not be accepted.
To Present a Paper Authors are invited to submit abstracts of papers for presentation in the “Technical Sessions of the Conference” or for the “Turbocharger Seminar Session”. These should be of original and unpublished work. Commercialism in presentations, will not be permitted. Papers shall be allocated to the session by the TCC
(Technical Conference Committee). It is planned that technical sessions will each contain three or four presentations, with 20 minutes scheduled for each paper, plus 10 minutes for questions & discussion.
When assessing submitted papers, the TCC will consider: • The originality and novelty of the subject • Process & product improvement • Scientific outcome of R&D • Progress in industrial improvements • Process & product innovation • Comparisons with competitive or enabling • Processes and products • Advanced management practices
Presentations shall be submitted in Power Point format
(*.pptx). Papers submission should address either “Conference Technical Sessions" or "Turbocharger Seminar". Abstracts should be sent to
