Inside ICI Japanese Foundry Society's Ninth Int'l Seminar

he Japanese Foundry Society hosted the 9th International Seminar on Investment Casting


(ISIC) in Tokyo, Japan on September 13 and 14. The event was well attended, hosting 172 delegates from around the world, and featured 7 papers on regional market trends and 20 technical papers. The event also featured two foundry tours on the days before and after the seminar, a panel exhibition and a reception.

held with international leaders. Mr. Hiroshi Yokota introduced the 11 attendees from 6 countries and turned the meeting over to Joseph Fritz, who led a discussion on the upcoming World Conference in Investment Casting, to be held at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA on October 15-18, 2020. Preliminary agenda, events and planning schedules were reviewed. The group also discussed the European Investment Casters’ Federation 29th International Conference to be held on April 22-25, 2018, with Mr. Carlos Olabe requesting that all associations circulate their call for papers, and Mr. Solas Y. J. Lino of the Taiwan Foundry Society announced that the 10th ISIC is scheduled for 2019 in Taiwan, inviting the world community to attend.
