UNDISCOVERED ITALY Highly acclaimed local merchant Barrel & Still (formerly Kingsbridge Wine Room) introduces some of Italy’s less well-known regions and grape varieties. Find out why the Greeks called Italy ‘Enotria - land of vines’ with a not-to-be-missed selection of high-quality and rarer Italian styles. £10 pp.
BARBADILLO AND THE FASCINATING WORLD OF SHERRY We welcome Tim Holt, who has worked with Spanish wines for nearly 30 years, most recently at the top bodega of Barbadillo in Sanlucar de Barrameda, to show a range of their world-class sherries. He is joined by Jonathan Sutton of local wine merchant Michael Sutton’s Cellar which stocks Barbadillo and many other delicious wines, ports and sherries. £12.50 pp incl. a selection of tapas and cured meats.
THE PERFECT PARTNERS FOR CHOCOLATE The Festival’s annual food and wine matching forum, with not 1, but 3 experts : The Guardian’s Fiona Beckett, The Seahorse’s wine supplier Tim McLaughlin-Green and Sunday Telegraph wine writer Susy Atkins host an informal and lively debate about which drinks - not only wine - best match chocolate and chocolate-based dishes. Expect plenty of sips and chocolatey nibbles throughout. £12.50 pp.
WINE UNCORKED AT BROWNS! Join us for an informal session at Browns Hotel bar, with free tapas and many of the festival’s wine experts and drinks speakers present. Come along and mingle, sip and chat wine over a glass or two. No ticket price just turn up, buy a drink at the bar and enjoy the convivial atmosphere.

BEER AND FOOD MATCHING IN THE GUILDHALL International Fermented Foods: Join the Royal Castle Hotel on a culinary world tour of fermented foods with a selection of tasting plates each served with a beer to complement or contrast the flavours of the dish. £25 pp.

WINE MERCHANT TURNS WINEMAKER The popular Master of Wine Liam Steevenson has now turned his hand to winemaking in France, Spain and New Zealand. Hear him talk about his life in artisan wine production and taste a fascinating, diverse range of the wines he has helped to create. £10 pp.
WHY FRANCE IS STILL THE MOST EXCITING WINE COUNTRY Will Lyons, highly respected wine columnist for The Sunday Times hosts a compelling tasting of fine and varied French wines. Find out why one of our top wine critics still rates France as the premium producer in the world. Plenty of discussion and debate. £15 pp to include simple canapes.
HOW TO CREATE THE PERFECT G&T Meet the producers of south-west premium gins (Barbican Botanist, Curio, Salcombe and Tarquins) and taste their gins with various mixers courtesy of Luscombes. With delicious garnishes at the ready, you can finish off the tasting and talk with a bespoke G&T made specially to suit you! £12.50 pp to include simple nibbles.

WINE AND FOOD MATCHING IN THE GUILDHALL The Cuisine of Awadh : Sponsored and hosted by The Royal Castle Hotel, showcasing a tasting menu featuring some of the speciality kebabs from the region of Awadh, North India, accompanied by a selection of wines. £25 pp.
