Tunbridge Wells Ice Rink Returns

rom 17th November, Calverley Grounds will be transformed into the ultimate winter destination, signalling the start of the 2017
festive season. The ever-popular Tunbridge Wells Ice Rink returns with stylish skating, festive food and drink, music and Christmas shopping inspiration. On selected nights across the season, the ice rink will once again collaborate with The Forum to host indie and folk music nights.
Supported by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, the 35m x 20m ice rink with a capacity of up to 250 skaters, will be open seven days a week (closed Christmas Day). Main skating sessions will take place
from 11am-8pm. (The last skating session will be 6pm on Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.) Sessions sell out quickly so booking early in advance is a must to avoid disappointment on the day. As in previous years Fuggles Beer Cafe is on site with a bar menu stocked with seasonal classics such as real ale and craft beers, some Belgian classics and Christmas beers, alongside their famous mulled cider, mulled wine and a range of seasonal gins, wines and soft drinks. Working once again in partnership
with the Tunbridge Wells Ice Rink as the official cafe partner, the team from Basil is back with food full of flavour and packed with good, wholesome ingredients. They will also be serving up plenty of Basil favourites – and with new festive-inspired cakes and bakes and a winter barbecue, it’s sure to get you into the spirit of the season!

Toddler sessions will take place every day at 9.45am, 10.15am and at 2pm from 17th November-20th December. Priced £9.50, which includes toddler and adult ticket and seal skating aid. • Motorised and non-motorised wheelchair users are welcome to enjoy the rink in their own wheelchair but must be accompanied by an assisting companion. • Tickets are available to buy online at
