Lawson-West welcomes experienced clinical negligence lawyer


Leicestershire law firm Lawson- West has welcomed to its team one of the most experienced clinical negligence personal injury lawyers in the county. Dawn Slow has spent 35 years


in the field, representing clients in high profile cases such as claims relating to PIP breast implants and to prescription drugs known as benzodiazepines. Dawn is also a brain injury


specialist and has dealt with claims which include cerebral palsy caused as a result of negligence during labour. A member of CILEx, the


Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, Dawn was named Legal Executive of the Year in 2013 by the Leicestershire Law Society.


Xibis appoints manager to strategic role


Leicester-based Xibis has appointed a second Business Development Manager. Ismail Akudi will take on a


strategic role to help grow the business by identifying and managing new business

High-flying local accountant recognised


Page Kirk Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, in Nottingham, has promoted one of its chartered accountants to Assistant Manager, just 15 months after qualifying in the profession. Thomas Ignatowicz, who


joined the firm on a training contract in September 2012 and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2015, has been promoted to the role within the audit department. John Wallis, Senior Partner at


the firm, said: “Thomas’s outstanding contribution to the audit department in such a short time warrants recognition. He is exceptionally talented and it only seems natural for him to take on this role.”

Growing law firm Nelsons Solicitors has further strengthened its Nottingham family law team with the appointment of two new solicitors. With more than 14 years’


experience between them, Nadifa Ahmad and Sarika Parmar add a wealth of expertise to the team. Nadifa and Sarika will be


working alongside the firm’s five other Nottingham-based family law specialists.


Nadifa, who specialises in

Director joins Grant Thornton


Grant Thornton has boosted the senior management and leadership team at its East Midlands office with the appointment of Mark Pashley as Tax Director. A well-known tax expert in the


East Midlands, Mark will lead Grant Thornton’s regional tax team that specialises in advising dynamic businesses and individuals. Mark joins Chris Frostwick,


Mustafa Abdulhusein, Tom Copson, and Owen Butler as part of the office’s senior leadership team. The new role heralds Mark’s
