Swap those soft funishings

I’ll let you in on a little interior designer secret; keep the number of cushions and décor accessories to an odd number such as three or five to create a more appealing and attractive space
If your cushions are recent, just change the cushion covers to save spending extra money when it’s not required. Plus, you’ll always have the old covers if you fancy a change.
Or you could try adding an elaborate trim to a cushion cover or curtain hem to give them a modern edge and bring a new energy into your living room.
You don’t need to be excellent at sewing. Remove the cushion cover and pin your chosen braiding around the top edge of the cover.
For the corners, neatly fold at 90 degrees to create a right angle and pin into place. Then it’s just a case of hand stitching all the way around with a contrasting thread.
Creating a trim on curtains is easier as you can follow the straight edge of the material, pin, and either by sew into place hand or machine.
