On Saturday 10th June an excited team of pupils from Strathkinness Primary School, who had been one of the two winning teams of the Area 6 heat of the Primary School Quiz, made their way, to the Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen to take part in the District Final. The format was as usual with 16 teams from all over the District taking part. All of the teams had done very well to get to this final as over 500 schools had taken part in the local heats of this year’s Quiz. I t w a s a v e r y c l o s e competition but Aviemore Primary School emerged as the

winners with St Peter’s RC Primary, Aberdeen and Newton Primary, Dunblane in joint second place. Member Isobel Clifford supported the Strathkinness team, who came in a creditable 7th. Well done all!


All Blue Peter badges feature the famous ship logo, created by Tony Hart. Hart was the multidisciplinary presenter of Vision On and Take Hart and creator of the cult animated Plasticine


figure called Morph. He was paid a flat fee of £100 for his ship design.
