is reminiscent of the grand age of sail. The proud nautical heritage is reflected in antique prints and paintings of famous sailing ships, while teak and gleaming mahogany rails please both the eye and the touch. All Star Clippers feature open-seating dining in an elegant appointed dining room and each vessel has both indoor and outdoor bars for convivial pre and after dinner drinks, perhaps accompanied by a pianist. Breakfast might start with a freshly baked Parisian croissant or a Full English. Lunch features a marvellous seafood buffet, salads and grilled meats, or if the day includes a stop at one of the many paradise islands that the vessels frequent, guests might be treated to a succulent outdoor beach barbecue, accessed via the ship’s zodiac. Evening dining is not formal and the ships pride themselves on their relaxed casually elegant dress code. The easy-going informality is also reflected in the on board entertainment. Passengers can enjoy the music and arts of local performers who come on board at certain ports. Within the cabins guests will find all the accoutrements of a classic yacht, where everything is ingeniously designed for comfort, ease and efficiency. Double or twin beds, that can be converted to queen, marble lined bathrooms, a DVD player, direct dial telephone,

luxury, the tradition and the very uniqueness of the Star Clippers

perhaps the biggest advantage is that the vessels are able to access intimate ports and coves that are often untouched by larger cruise ships. Thus, guests might find themselves in a stunning Caribbean bay, or the cove of a Greek Island, well away from the more crowded

tourist hotspots. Here all passengers have complimentary access to watersports, such as snorkelling, kayaking, water-skiing, paddle boards, Lasar sailing and windsurfing. Or they can simply soak up the moment. Star Clippers offer an All Year
