vices and taking the recommendations of other water utility organisations, Jacopa made the decision to implement IFS Applications 9 hosted on Microsoft’s Azure managed cloud platform, with the support of Anthesis to help roll out the project. The company felt Anthesis’ exper-


tise rolling out similar scale projects, coupled with its experience as a lead- ing IFS reseller, gave it a great advan- tage above and beyond other partners. At this point, Jacopa only had four


and a half months to uncouple its lega- cy systems and, luckily, Anthesis was up for the challenge.

THE SOLUTION Anthesis immediately deployed five consultants to implement IFS, ensur- ing it was fit for purpose. The con- sultants were on-hand to see the pro- ject through from start to finish, con- stantly offering guidance, support and peace of mind that all deadlines would be met. As Jacopa does not have an in-


house IT department, Anthesis’ sup- port was essential to ensure the whole project ran without a hitch, complet- ing the roll-out with ten days to spare and offering ongoing support to ensure the platform always meets Jacopa’s expectations.

THE RESULTS Within days of the implementation being completed, the company’s 72 users, situated in four different UK locations, were able to access real-time information regarding any aspect of the business, including engineering, manufacturing, installation and main- tenance, helping boost their produc- tivity on a daily basis. initially hesitant to use an ERP tool benefitted from Anthesis’ guidance and training and were soon comforta- ble and eager to take full advantage of the ease of use of the IFS system for their own benefit. This has also improved operational
