WHAT IS THE IFS USER GROUP As an existing IFS customer, you will already be aware of the significant benefits of using IFS Applications to sup- port your business. You will also be aware that there can be challenges associated with any system, and some of these can be easily resolved with support and information. This is one of the key areas where a User Group can help, by promoting the exchange of information and opinions about the software. We do this by organising regular meetings, seminars and workshops focussed on IFS. Members of the User Group can take advantage of the
benefits below:
n Free access to the IFS User Group one day workshops that take place regularly throughout the year (5-6 per year)
n Access to the IFS User Group Annual Conference
n Participation in group sessions to help direct the IFS Product Roadmap
n Access to the User Group Website (currently under redevelopment)

IFS USER GROUP CONFERENCE 2016 I’d like to spend a few moments looking back at the IFS User Group Conference, which was held last November near Oxford. With the IFS World Conference 2016 just a few weeks
before the event, we weren’t sure whether the attendance would hold up this year, but we were delighted to see that it did. We were just as pleased with the number of you that booked early as this makes planning the event so much easier – thank you to those that did. It’s interesting that those companies that attend the conference, and other user group events, see such value in participating that they often send four or more people along. However, there are many of you that don’t attend and we believe that you are missing out. Join the User Group and get involved! A key focus of the conference this year was launching
our involvement with the IFS Product Roadmap, i.e. influ- encing the direction of future IFS releases. In one of our streams we spent four hours on the first day in small groups meeting with IFS Product Owners, sharing ideas for future enhancements and new functionality. This work will continue during 2017 and IFS will feed back the progress at our next conference in 2017. The rest of the two day event was taken up with input
from IFS on their latest developments and customer case studies run by IFS Users and IFS Partner companies.
