Pembrokeshire County Captain Steven Allen: Presented with the trophy

THE PEMBROKESHIRE

LEAGUE have won the SB Williams Trophy following a 1-0 win over the Swansea League on Wednesday, January 25. The game was played at the home

of Garden Village FC in Swansea and the Pembrokeshire League needed just a point to claim the trophy. The county had previously won 3-2

against Carmarthen and 1-0 against the Neath league in the tournament. The only goal of the game came

late on as Crawford laid the ball off to Tony Evans, who shot low past the Swansea keeper. Swansea’s Tom Blackburn was a constant threat and he came close on

Wizards dazzle Narberth Harding stars in Neyland win Merlins Bridge

11 MERLINS BRIDGE remained

one of Hakin’s closest rivals to the league title as they thrashed Narberth 11-0 on Saturday (Jan 28). The Wizards dominated for large

periods of the game and after a good start, they were given a penalty which Joe Leahy scored to make it 1-0. Will Haworth then doubled their

lead before Steve McNabney made it 3-0 with a superb 25 yard strike after he turned well from a throw in. McNabney then made it four with

his second goal and it was five before half time as Jordan Raymond intercepted the ball before running on, rounding the keeper and slotting the ball home.

had left off in the second half as 20 minutes in, Andrew John made it 6-0 with another fine strike from 30 yards which flew over the Narberth keeper. 10 minutes later, Joe Leahy scored

his second with a low shot from the edge of the box that sailed into the bottom corner. Will Haworth made it eight before

McNabney completed his hat trick with his side’s ninth goal of the afternoon. Joe Leahy was not to be outdone and

completed his hat trick just two minutes later and the scoring was complete two minutes from time when Jordan Raymond picked up his second goal of the game. On Saturday (Feb 4), Merlins Bridge

are at home to Milford United while Narberth are at home to Carew.

Glory for Pembrokeshire League Tenby

9 4

NEYLAND picked up their

second win in as many games as they thumped Tenby by nine goals to four on Saturday (Jan 28). Having beaten Johnston 6-0 the

previous week, they gained revenge for a similar 9-5 defeat to Tenby earlier in the season. Justin Harding was back in fine

form for the home side as he scored four goals to take his tally of league goals for the season to 17. Henry Durrant also scored a hat

trick for Neyland while their other goals came from Wayne Parry and

Tenby while James Richards and Sam Christopher, with his 34th goal of the league season, scored the other goals for the Seasiders. The win for Neyland opens the

gap between themselves and the bottom five while Tenby are now sixth in the table after three straight league defeats. On Saturday (Feb 4), Neyland

are in action in the fourth round of the WWFA Intermediate Cup against CRC Rangers. On the same day, Tenby are in

league action and will look to get back to winning ways against fifth placed Lamphey.

Penalty heartache for Dragons Carew

A LAST minute penalty scored

by Shaun Whitfield for Carew earned the Rooks a point at home to West Dragons last Saturday (Jan 28).

The Dragons took the lead inside

three minutes when Dorian Davies hammered home a penalty after Scott Crawford had been brought down inside the area. Midway through the half, Jordan

Richards levelled for Carew with a low shot on the turn into the bottom corner. In the second half, stand-in

Dragons keeper Phillip Narbett did well to deny Carew striker Scott Ferney.

Minutes later, Dragons midfielder

Jordan Williams gave the visitors the lead in the 75th minute as he powered
