League 3 West A CARDIGAN moved up to


second in the table as they breezed past Llangwm on Saturday (Jan 28) with a 60-0 win. Sion Hughes got on the scoresheet


for Cardigan in the first half while Emyr Harries added one conversion. Alun Jenkins, Llyr Jones and Ben Rogers all went over as Cardigan


claimed a bonus point before half time and held a 22-0 lead at the interval. Jenkins went over twice more in


the second half to complete his hat trick as they kept the pressure on. Hughes went over for his second


try while Carwyn Thomas also bagged a late brace of tries. Kieran Hurley was the final name


on the scoresheet as he scored their 10th try of the match, while Harries added four more conversions to complete a comprehensive afternoon.

League 3 West A NEYLAND were well beaten


by a Laugharne side on Saturday (Jan 28), who scored four tries to complete a league double over their opponents. The All Blacks were missing a


few players and that told as Laugharne overpowered them to come away with a bonus point win. They had tries from Tom Jameson


and Tom Davies, with Jameson adding one conversion and a penalty.

also went over for the visitors as they continued to put pressure on the Neyland defence throughout the game. Mark Riley scored a try for


Neyland but the conversion attempt was missed and Ben Goodridge also got on the scoresheet when he made his way past three Laugharne players to score. The conversion was missed and


defeat for Neyland sees them slip to sixth in the table. On Saturday (Feb 4), Neyland are


away to local rivals Llangwm while Laugharne are at home to St Davids.

picked up their fourth win of the season as they eased to victory over bottom club St Davids on Saturday (Jan 28). The Quins started well and went


ahead when Thomas Doyle crossed over the line but the conversion from Ben Hathaway was missed. Hathaway then added a penalty


before Dean Wilcox crossed for the Quins’ second try, which Hathaway converted.

his second and the Quin’s fourth try to give his side a bonus point but the conversion was again missed. Alex Pearce rounded off the


scoring for the Quins with another try which went unconverted for a 30-0 lead.


The Saints never gave up and


were rewarded with a consolation try scored late on by Rhys Morgan but the conversion was missed. On Saturday (Feb 4), the Quins are


at home to Tregaron while St Davids are away to Laugharne.

charge from Tregaron as they came away with a 36-20 win on Saturday (Jan 28). The visitors made a flying start


to the match and were ahead within the first couple of minutes as Max Hayward crossed over for a try which was then converted by Luke Hartland. Sam Smith raced over moments


later and Hartland again added the extras for an early 14-0 lead. They increased their lead further


when Smith scored his second try of the afternoon and Hartland kept the score ticking over with another conversion.

second win in as many games as they stunned Loughor to win by 35 points to three on Saturday (Jan


28). The Borderers scored five tries


and the win sees them move out of the bottom two and they will now be looking to climb up the table. Dai Ebsworth, Sion Coles and


James Stephenson all scored tries for the home side, while Nico Setaro added the extras on all three


occasions. Jack Mason and Scott Candler


also went over and Setaro again added the extra two points both times. Loughor could only respond with


a penalty and the defeat sees them slip to the bottom of the table. On Saturday (Feb 4), Whitland are away to top of the table Kidwelly.
