Hard Rock Tenerife targets older and family markets

A new Hard Rock Hotel due to open in Tenerife will target families and “silver travellers”.
The beachfront property, which
features three swimming pools and a music stage, is located on the southern coast near Adeje and will be split across two towers. One tower will be for families and include three kids’ clubs, while the other will be primarily reserved for adults and include an adult-only pool. The Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife is being developed by Palladium Hotel Group, which is due to work with the UK trade ahead of the property’s opening in October. Palladium opened Europe’s first Hard Rock Hotel in Ibiza in 2014. Sales and marketing vice-
president Sergio Zertuche Valdes said: “Tenerife is a 12-month operation because of the year- round warm weather and Ibiza is a six-month operation.

Singapore’s Manchester-Houston route is its first transatlantic link
Singapore Airlines is to begin flying from Manchester to the US from October 30. The Houston route, which will be non-stop, will be
the only UK service to the city from outside of London, and Singapore Airline’s first transatlantic operation.

will operate five times a week. Flights will depart Manchester at 10.15 and arrive Houston at 14.35. The return service will depart Houston at 19.15 and
arrive in Manchester at 10.05 the next day. Existing Moscow-Houston and Munich-Manchester
services will be suspended. Manchester-Singapore flights will operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Singapore-Manchester flights
will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday-Sunday.
