WINNERS’ WORDS
“This is a massive win for us because we have put a huge focus on social media in the last 12 months, and I don’t think we would have won without that. We have got 25,000 likes on Facebook. Our next focus is Twitter. Winning this award means a lot to my team.” Julie Kendrick, head of commercial and marketing, Midcounties Co-operative: winner of Best Use of Social Media
“We are absolutely delighted to win this award. More than anything this is down to the team that work so hard; they are passionate about what they do. As a business you have to keep reinventing yourself and moving forward.” Sharon Munro, chief executive, Barrhead Travel: winner of Large Agency – Scotland

feel quite dumbstruck. Never did I think that was on the cards, so I feel very cherished to receive such an award from the industry.” Commenting on the future of the industry, he added: “It looks very positive. Some of the quality products coming through are fantastic, especially in cruise, luxury and long-haul.”
