Blue Chip continues support for Pony Newcomers
Blue Chip Feed celebrates a sponsorship milestone this year, with the announcement that it will continue supporting the Pony Newcomers Championship for what will be the 18th consecutive year, making the well known brand one of the sport’s longest standing sponsors.
The Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Championship Series is for registered ponies in JD and JC that have not won a total of 500 points and they are to be ridden by Junior Members. The 2016 series will once again culminate with the Championship Final at the Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham’s Genting Arena (5th – 9th October 2016). Hallie Lunn topped last year’s class on Little Boy De
Carman and took home the coveted Championship title.
Sheffield based Blue Chip has a feed balancer suitable for any showjumping horse or pony, and each of the balancers contain digestive aids, a comprehensive hoof supplement, a respiratory formula, nucleotides, antioxidants and oils. Blue Chip also extends their support to all British Showjumping members via an exclusive discount on all online orders placed with Blue Chip. Competitors have until the 30th April 2016 to qualify for the Blue Chip Pony Newcomers Second Rounds. The Second Rounds will be held during May – August 2016 and competitors will be vying for that all important place in the Championship Final.
Gemma awarded Shining Star
Dedicated and enthusiastic were two of the words used to describe 16 year-old Gemma Kennedy from Falkirk, Stirlingshire ahead of her being awarded the NAF Shining Star for November 2015.
Gemma is a member of the Central Scotland Academy and was nominated for the award by Lead Coach Aileen Craig. Gemma started out on ponies before then progressing onto horses and she now competes at 1.10m/1.15m level. Image courtesy of Sinclair Photography.
