he change of seasons is a great time to embrace a detoxifi cation or cleansing programme to reset your health on every level by releasing toxins that have built up in the body from poor diet, pollution, pesticides, partying and use


of everyday products.


Juice fasts are a great way to detoxify the body and gives the digestive system a break which allows your bodily systems to focus on healing. Using yoga and meditation as part of the cleansing process provides the tools to work through any frustrations and mental or emotional challenges during this time, as well as speeding up the cleansing process with a programme specifi cally designed to detoxify body and mind. In our everyday busy and stressful lives, it is easy to become disconnected from our roots, our true essence and from each other. Yoga and meditation can help you to gain a deeper connection with yourself, nature, and all beings by harnessing an attitude of compassion.


There are a number of physical benefi ts from completing a detox programme. But for me, the most important things I take away from a seasonal cleanse is a clear mind that is better able to focus and concentrate which boosts my patience, performance and productivity.


Whilst the deep healing work takes place during the cleanse, it is important to allow yourself time and space for introspection, rest and relaxation. It’s a beautiful opportunity to release things in your life which are not serving you and are dragging you down. Gaining support from family, friends and work colleagues will help to minimise stress during this time so that you can get the maximum benefi ts from your detox.


Use the time wisely to get your life back into perspective and under control by having a complete clear out – you will feel a million dollars afterwards!
