Core PD pilots Poolpod for wheelchair users
Core PD is piloting the Poolpod fol- lowing its first installation in East London as part of the Olympic and Paralympic Games legacy. The machine is designed to provide dignified and independent access for wheelchair users as well as for groups of people who do not use wheelchairs but need an alternative to a ladder. The Poolpod incorpo- rates a universal-use platform lift which pivots to lower into the pool. The lift is stowed on the side of the pool when not in use.
