Outdoortoys Alyss Toys

01285 762 039 | www.alysstoys.co.uk Alyss Toys is launching two outdoor toys in anticipation of Summer 2013. The fi rst is the PlasmaBike, an extension of the multi-award-winning

PlasmaCar. The PlasmaBike utilises the popular balance bike concept, offering toddlers the opportunity to learn to balance before progressing to a traditional bike. The PlasmaBike, like the PlasmaCar, offers design which will appeal to both parents and children, and works on the principle of body movement, negating the need for batteries, gears and pedals. It is sturdy and rugged, and engineered from state-of-the-art materials which are built to last. Weighing 6lbs, it is easily transportable by hand or in the back of a car, and will support children weighing up to 55lbs. The second item comes from the design studio that created Bilibo, the award-winning shell-shaped play object. The Plui, or Rainball when translated into English, is a simple concept; the Plui can be fi lled with water from a bucket or paddling pool from one end, and then can be shaken and sprayed from the other through a series of water holes. The result is rain- like spray, the fl ow of which can be controlled by either plugging the fi ller hole at the top with a fi nger or rotating the Plui onto its side.

Little Tikes

01908 268 480 | www.littletikes.co.uk Little Tikes creates imaginative products that stimulate kids and encourage physical and active fun. The company has a new collection of outdoor pieces launching this year, including additions to its playhouse range and fresh wooden play set designs. Features include a ‘thatched’ roof, a working Dutch door with letterbox and doorbell, and the moulded grill on the back windowsill extends the play area. Little Tikes continues to increase its

presence in the wooden outdoor toy sector, with three brand new items joining its swing and play set range this Spring. The three new wooden items joining the range this year consist of the Oxford Den Play Centre, a set that gives children their own den as well as platforms, a play deck and slide; the Tilberg Slide and Swing Set with Den, a versatile set that includes swings, slide, play deck and strong, weather resistant fabric tent on top of the deck; and lastly the new Naples Glider Swing Set which offers a compact swing and glider combination. Step2 UK

Tastic Activity Centre is a portable sand table that provides children stimulus to interact with

sand and open space for imaginative play. The deep basin provides lots of area to dig and create, and the funnels and wheels let children experience sand in a new way. The large lid folds down so the sand stays clean and dry when children are done playing. Like all Step2 products, the Activity Centre is durable.

Another new item is the Fun & Sun Climber with Sandbox, with a small ladder, slide and sandbox. Step2 has had small climbers in its portfolio for years; this is the company’s fi rst combination of sand play with climb and slide, and comes with a three-year warranty. This Spring, the Fixin’ Fun Grill comes with one of Step2’s new Stack n’ Stay hot dogs sets.
