Lana’s Dance Studio IN THEIR OWN WORDS

L

ana’s Dance Studio has been a fixture in the Morgan Hill and Gilroy communities for the past thirty-two years. Born in Gilroy and raised in San Martin, Lana takes extreme pride in her local business that boasts an all-woman, highly qualified trained professional teaching staff. Lana’s Dance Studio has two locations: a state of the art facility in Morgan Hill and a brand new location in Gilroy. Lana’s Dance Studio offers classes for students ages two and half to adult for all levels. The majority of the studio consists of the recreational program

where students dance one to two times a week. The recreational programs include a curriculum in tap, jazz, hip- hop, lyrical and a brand new ballet pro- gram. This year the ballet program will be putting on its very own production of “The Nutcracker” in December. With an exceptionally professional staff, stu- dents start building their foundation of basic steps with proper technique from the very beginning. Lana’s Dance is known for its national award winning competition teams. Their competition team dancers have won numerous Overall High

Score and Top Studio Awards at many competitions this year. Competition dancers compete in tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Lana’s 32nd annual production show will be held on Saturday, June 25 at the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose. There is a 12pm show and a 6pm show. Tickets will go on sale in June at the Morgan Hill studio. The Summer Programs will begin on June 28 with a variety of classes to choose from for dancers of all levels and ages.
