STG puts innovation in the spotlight with new pattern-matching product
STG Aerospace is celebrating another year of impressive sales and growth. And to maintain its position as a leader in cabin safety systems, STG is unveiling the latest innovation in floorpath marking at Aircraft Interiors Expo
SafTGlo, the photoluminescent (PL) floorpath marking system already installed on more than 6000 aircraft worldwide, has long been recognised for the benefits it delivers including the 100% dependability and significant cost savings. But with the design and appearance of cabin interiors just as important to many customers, SafTGlo ColorMatch was developed from the original design to be able to blend seamlessly with all cabins, from simple interiors to luxurious first class décor.

The unveiling follows a successful year of sales to new and existing customers and will broaden the appeal of the cost- saving system even further. And the company predicts that 2011 will see further sales growth as other new safety products come on stream.
In 2010, STG achieved sales success with orders from existing customers of SafTGlo bolstered by new client wins for both SafTGlo and STG’s WEPPS (Wireless Emergency Primary Power System™
).
Among new clients for SafTGlo over the past year were converts from alternative floorpath marking systems, who have recognised and adopted the unique benefits of STG’s market-leading system. STG’s innovative Wireless Emergency Primary Power System (WEPPS™
) emergency lighting battery system won
orders and also expanded its STC’s thus extending its aircraft availability.
Building on the technology, innovation and market success of ColorMatch, which offers over 300 colour options to match any cabin or style, STG has extended the product range with a new and unique pattern-matching service. SafTGlo ColorMatch can now be made to match the actual pattern of even the most intricate carpet design. A translucent overlay, specially printed to match the surrounding carpet’s colour and design, sits over the PL strip meaning the system is completely discreet when cabin lighting is on, but just as effective as other SafTGlo variants if the lights go out.
